2017 Equity Plumbing Annual Meeting: December 5th - 7th at the Hilton Riverside in New Orleans.

Member registration for the 2017 meeting in New Orleans, LA at the Hilton Riverside will open on August 1, 2017. All Members, Suppliers and Service Providers will receive a detailed email with instructions on how to register for our meeting, secure your discounted hotel room, and select your on-on-one appointments.

Plan to arrive Tuesday morning/afternoon December 5th to attend a Welcome Reception and plan to depart after 1:00 PM on December 7th to insure your ability to attend all scheduled supplier meetings. Click here for the schedule of events. The meeting concludes at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 7th.

The cornerstone value of our meeting is to provide Members and Suppliers with networking opportunities. Please review the following meeting highlights and comments from past attendees:

Member Networking Meetings: Members of similar business mix and size met in a private room to share ideas, best practices and build lasting relationships:

  • Jeff Cruciani, President, Mid-Valley Plumbing Supply / Peckville, PA: "Just a great way to bounce something off your peers. I like the way you try to keep the core group together from year to year. Makes it a bit more comfortable."

Member / Supplier One-On-One Meetings: Prescheduled meetings provided an opportunity to establish or enhance relationships with key Supplier executives, discuss new business opportunities or review open issues.

  • Steve Sedwick, Owner, Sedwick Distributors / Orange, VA: "Meeting with the manufacturers even briefly gives us a chance to vent or endorse their product line. All information is good information."
  • Reed Timmer, Sales, Timmer Supply Company / Madison, SD: "This gives us a chance to talk with the vendors and discuss any issues. This is time you don't normally get in everyday business."
  • John Burgin, President, BK Plumbing / Louisville, KY: "I noticed many of the booths were manned by national sales managers. This was a very good thing."

I always meet new people that I try and stay connected with throughout the year. I really don't see a negative aspect of the annual Equity meeting. Show Specials: 75 Suppliers offered Show Special promotions that included extra discounts and/or extended dating terms.

  • Dan Hill, Secretary, Standard Supply Company / Portland, OR: "I love the once a year opportunity to make some additional margin. It gives us items to promote on our quarterly flyers."
  • John Green, President, New York Replacement Parts / Yonkers, NY: "I placed over $400,000 in Show Special orders and saved about $25,000. I also have received tremendous response from the One-On-One Meetings with manufactures, which will lead to even greater savings."
